NEW REGIME OF OPERATION OF THE CONSULATE GENERAL IN CONNECTION WITH THE CORONA VIRUS OUTBREAK IN THE UNITED STATES
In the wake of the current situation regarding the outbreak of corona flu epidemics in the United States and a need to undertake additional measures to prevent further spread of the disease, the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in New York has adopted the following measures which will take effect on Monday, 16 March 2020, and remain in force until further notice:
The Consulate will be able to extend services only in very urgent and pressing cases;
You are kindly requested to call the Consulate in advance, at least two days ahead of the planned visit, by calling (917) 519-7416 or by sending a message to consulate.newyork@mfa.rs.
Unannounced visitors whose appointments have not been confirmed will not be admitted;
Your requests for consular services not requiring personal presence in the Consulate should be exclusively sent by post (e.g. registration of birth, marriage and death, admission to citizenship, customs certificates, police clearance and other vital statistics, certificate for transfer of mortal remains, regulation of military service, etc.);
The Consulate shall continue to admit applications for voting abroad in Parliamentary elections in the Republic of Serbia by email, fax or post.
The Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in New York appreciates your understanding and cooperation at this time. The Consulate shall continue to closely monitor the situation regarding the corona virus outbreak in the United States and shall resume its regular regime and hours of operation as soon as the situation improves.
